New Harbor Capital is excited to announce that portfolio company FoodPharma (“FoodPharma”, “the Company”) has hired Emil Skaria as Chief Commercial Officer.

Based in California, FoodPharma is a contract developer and manufacturer of functional foods specializing in soft chews, ultrachews, bars, and other confectionery-style nutrition products. FoodPharma makes nutrition enjoyable, combining taste, texture, and efficacy through unique formulas and in-house R&D. Trusted by many well-known nutrition, food, and beverage brands, the Company helps bring innovative, better-for-you products in enjoyable forms to market.

Emil Skaria brings over 25 years of experience in business development, marketing, sales, and product management to his role as Chief Commercial Officer of FoodPharma. With a deep understanding of CDMOs, Emil has seamlessly led the integration of sales and marketing strategies with R&D, operations, quality, and supply chain capabilities. Prior to joining FoodPharma, Emil served as the Vice President of Business Development for SCN BestCo, a developer and manufacturer of vitamin, mineral, and supplement (VMS), over-the-counter (OTC), and prebiotic and probiotic products. His previous roles include leading global sales as well as overseeing quality and operations at various health and wellness companies, such as Covance, Hilmar, California Natural Products, and Del Monte Foods. Emil holds a BS in Nutrition and Food Science Technology from San Jose State University and an MBA from California State University – Stanislaus.
