New Harbor Capital Portfolio Company Quigley Eye Specialists Hires Chief Executive Officer

New Harbor Capital is excited to announce that portfolio company Quigley Eye Specialists (“Quigley”, “the Company”), one of the leading multispecialty providers of ophthalmology and optometry services in the Southeast, has hired Ben Cook as its Chief Executive Officer.

Founded in 1988 by Dr. Thomas Quigley, Quigley Eye Specialists has grown to become a leading multispecialty ophthalmology practice, specializing in cataracts, laser cataract surgery, glaucoma, LASIK, dry eye, eyelid surgery, retinal issues, corneal conditions, routine eye care, and facial plastic surgery. The Company currently serves patients across Florida’s Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. Since New Harbor’s investment in January 2020, the Company has grown rapidly from a single market practice with 8 locations and one wholly-owned ASC to five markets with 30 locations and five wholly-owned ASCs.

Ben’s hiring marks a new season of development for Quigley following the Company’s rapid growth since 2020. Together with the ongoing support of Dr. Thomas Quigley, Founder and Chief Medical Officer, the Quigley management team will focus on further expanding the Company’s patient-first, comprehensive eye care service offering to more patients throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Ben brings over 20 years of healthcare and senior management experience to his position as Chief Executive Officer of Quigley Eye Specialists. Previously, Ben was CEO at Vision Group Holdings, the world’s largest provider of LASIK laser vision correction with 140 surgery centers located in 43 U.S. states and Canada, having spent 18 years in various roles within the organization. Most recently, Ben spent time investing through his family office, Cook Capital.
